Details of our quarterly talks can be found on the Worlingworth/OneSuffolk parish website. These talks usually take place on the 2nd Monday of February, May, August and November.
The next talk is "Portrait of a Suffolk Village" by Gerald Jenkins - a pictorial journey through Stradbroke.
In May, we are planning a "Maps" night instead of an invited speaker when we can study some of our parish maps and learn of their significance.
In August, we are planning to hold a social evening (AGM included) and film night. Our intrepid researchers are currently planning a DVD on the History of Worlingworth, which will receive its premiere as part of the celebrations to mark our 10th anniversary.
What the Victorians Threw Away
We would like to start a project exploring the pits at the back of old properties, which took the articles that were disposed of by the late Victorian families of Worlingworth. It would be interesting to compare what the cottagers threw away, compared to that thrown away at the Rectory!
Metal Detecting Rally
Being planned for later in the year.
